I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of Florida (SW 11450) and California (LCS 20053) with a B.A. in psychology from Wayne State University and an MSW from Arizona State University. Using an eclectic approach to treatment with a Jungian foundation frees me to engage with my clients in the manner that best serves them. I have worked in the mental health profession as a psychotherapist intermittently for over 30 years, taking a seven-year hiatus to raise my two daughters. Over the years my work has focused on helping individuals achieve the behavioral and psychological goals they aspire to achieve. Psyche as soul is foundational in my work, I view each individual as on their own unique path of self discovery. The wonder of being a psychotherapist is that everyday offers something new. I am constantly amazed by the resilience of the human spirit.
My speciality is empowering women experiencing life transitions, emotional challenges, and relationship issues. Couples therapy focusing on communication issues and intimacy is an area of interest and experience. My work with individuals has related to anxiety, stress, trauma, grief/loss, and substance abuse recovery.
In my free time I enjoy going to the beach, biking, sewing and painting. I enjoy visiting my younger daughter and her family in Brooklyn. My older daughter and her family live nearby and I delight in playing with my grandson and watching him grow.
